Write articles in the built-in editor, add formatting, images, and callouts, and publish them to your live help center.

Articles are the core of your help center, and Alps gives you a real rich-text editor to write them in, not a plain text box. You can format text, add images and tables, drop in code blocks, and use callouts to highlight important notes.

Creating an article

From the Knowledge Base, create a new article, give it a title and a short description, and start writing. The description shows up in search results and article previews, so make it clear enough that someone can tell what the article covers before they click in.

Formatting your content

  • Headings to break long articles into scannable sections.

  • Bulleted and numbered lists for steps or options.

  • Inline code and code blocks for anything technical.

  • Callouts to highlight a tip, a warning, or a note worth a reader's extra attention.

  • Images and tables where they make something easier to follow than text alone.

Publishing

An article stays in draft until you publish it, so you can write and review without it being visible on your live help center. Once you're happy with it, publish it and it appears immediately for visitors.

About older articles
Articles created in an earlier version of Alps may show as "Legacy Article Format." Their title and description can still be edited, but their body content can't be changed in the current editor yet.
